In survival this tape has many uses, and thus should be included
into your kit. You can mend things, it will waterproof your tent,
shoes, etc., you can use it to fix clothes that are ripped, also as
a small rope or for first aid even to start fire with. 
 
If you have chosen a yellow color it could be used to make signals
on a trail, or tied around your hooks as a bait for fishes. So MAKE
SURE you bring some along with you in your survival kit.
