SURVIVAL PRESENTS SURVIVAL STILL From: robear@teleport.com (Robert Rubenstein) Newsgroups: misc.survivalism Subject: SURVIVAL PRESENTS Date: Wed, 17 Jan 1996 16:39:05 GMT I propose that as a way of honing our survival skills, we make and give away survival presents to our friends and family. These would be small, inexpensive items that could make a real difference in someone's life if needed. One such present could be a "Survival Still." This is a 6' x 6' sheet of clear plastic, 6' of plastic tubing and a page of instructions, all contained in a one gallon plastic freezer bag that doubles as the collector bucket. Cost -- about $1. Value (if needed) a fortune. I found the instructions in Larry Dean Olsen's book _Outdoor Survival Skills_. Any other suggestions for similar survival presents? ================================================================ Robert Rubenstein (503) 238-9657 Supporter of the First and Second Amendments
